Successful Completion of the HKU EEE FinTech Summer Program Co-Hosted by FundingReach

We are delighted to announce the successful conclusion of the HKU EEE FinTech Summer Program, co-hosted by FundingReach, Cyberport Academy, and the HK Start-up Society, held from 20 to 26 July 2021.

Over the course of one week, 80 enthusiastic senior secondary students participated in an engaging and comprehensive program designed to inspire the next generation of FinTech leaders. Through a combination of in-person sessions at Cyberport and HKU, and interactive online workshops via Zoom, students explored the latest trends and technologies in FinTech, including AI, Machine Learning, Python programming, CreditTech, and RegTech.

The program featured expert guidance from Dr. Joe Yuen of HKU’s Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Mr. William Lam, CEO of FundingReach. Students collaborated in teams to complete group projects, showcasing their innovative ideas during the graduation ceremony. The top three teams were recognised for their outstanding presentations.

Participants also benefited from site visits to Cyberport and HKU Innovation Wing, gaining valuable insights into the dynamic FinTech ecosystem in Hong Kong.
